    Shotguns for duck season?

A buddy of mine is big into duck hunting and invited me to go along with him this season. What would be a good shotgun to get that's not too expensive? Anyone here have any duck hunting experience?

He doesn't have one you could borrow? I'm not into hunting, but most of the hunters I work with have multiple guns.

That's cool, I'd look around online at some buyers guides and see what you can come up with.

it would be hard to recommend a shot gun for you. there are so many varibales to contend with. what is your bro hunting with? i use a 2 3/4 browning auto5 in 12 gauge with a modifed choke. but my shots might be different from yalls. you can spend a couple hundred to 15 hundred on a duck gun good luck

If you want something cheap and will do the job, go to wal-@@@@ and get a mossberg pump or even a remington 870 pump. Pumps are cheaper then semi automatics. Go with a 3 in or 3 in magnum. More punch for the price and helps with the type of shot used today.

No I'm 39 and watch what you say! I have my opinion and you have yours. If you saw 1st hand what these rats do to the farmers land you would not have made that comment. Put your self in the farmers shoes. Also stay one top of the food chain good hunting and bring a friend. 1st you kill it then you grill it ( uncle ted nuggent)

Not flaming but if you don't already have a shotgun, you won't be able to hit shlt when you go out there. It's hard as hell to learn to lead a moving target and you need a good instructor to show you how to do it. Also 12 ga. 3" magnums hurt like hell out of a pump action shotgun The damn shells are a few bucks a piece that you need for ducks. Also did you already take hunter safety?

I have two Reminton 870's and they are awesome guns!! I would also suggest using one of these!
