    Need help pricing street bike

Alright fellas ive been looking at getting a 98' - 07' Honda CBR 600 but im not real sure wat a good price is or not. For example I found a 99 CBR f4 for $4300 w/ 14,000 miles but i have no idea if that good or not. I want to stay under $5000 and still have a good reliable bike. Ne help or suggestions would b greatly appreciated. THanks

    ^^^ x2

but i really dont like the f4s, i think they look ugly. u should be able to find an 02-04 cbr600 or yamaha r6 with less than 15,000 for about 5k.

thats expensive, i know down here in the south we have good riding weather year round so our prices are pretty competitive. But you could get a good f4i for that price.fvck a carb if you have 5k to drop you can get a nice honda. my second bike was a 600rr it was a blast to ride ... just a little slow

I personally love the cbr 600rrs, they are a little lacking in bottom end but when they get going they are a riot. Im hoping to buy one next year

not calling you out here amorphic but have you ever seen a dyno chart on a cbr600rr.... not lacking in bottom end... uh... yea they are... no power is made until 8 grand... then it spikes hard..until redline... the thing that makes cbrs speciall is they hold max power longer than other 600's i am a suzuki love personally but know facts on other bikes as well...

that all depends on who had the bike last and how well it was taken care of. With regular oil changes and service you could get more than 20k without a problem, if it was ridden hard and never serviced it could be worn out at 10k.

iffy, if it had enough miles or damage to warrant a rebuild of the motor I would wonder how the transmission is, etc.

that too would depend on the previous owner, but the transmission and the engine share the same oil, so for instance if they blew the last engine and there were tiny bits of metal flowing through the gears for any length of time, merely rebuilding the engine may patch it up enough to sell, then the tranny may go a few hundred miles later.

    heres the ad

1996 CBR600F3 with 37k miles but only 12k on rebuilt motor.

All replaced in last 1000 miles- tires, chain and sprockets, oil changed, front and rear brakes.

Bike is stock except for Hindle slip on, double bubble tinted windscreen, and carbon fiber style miror.

Bike has some minor rash on left side from a lay down by previous owner.

Only thing it might need anytime soon is a new battery. Other then that she runs perfect.

Rides and drives excellent. Cash sale only.

Title free and clear and in hand.

    Taxes paid thru next year.

Will also include 6x10 trailer. Needs a little TLC but overall not bad condition.

    $2600 firm

    For example

$3000 prob 2700-2800 if you wanted

Up for sale is a 99' honda CBR f4. The bike runs excellent but has scratches on the right lower fairing and has a hole in the tail piece as a result from being pushed over at a movie theater. The tires on the bike are fairly new...both with great grip. The bike handles flawlessly and is very comfortable to ride. The bike has 18,175 miles currently. Please e-mail for pictures. If you would like to take a look then again...e-mail me for a contact number.

According to the Honda website http://powersports.honda.com/motorcycles/sport/
you can get a shiny new CBR600F4i for $8500, and a shiny new CBR600RR for $9500. Those are list prices, and chances are you can talk 'em down a bit.

Are the new ones worth it? I dunno. But I'd talk that guy down some more . . .

I dont know anyone with a stock wind screen. Also it has a lot of miles it would need a chain and sprocket replaced a few times.

If this owner rebuilt it all i would want to see recipts for exactly what was done. If everything is true it doesnt sound like a bad deal.

It amazes me what used bike are gonig for. I paid 6700 for my 97 f3 brand new

My friend has an older f2 with a ton of miles. They are good bikes and can take a beating.
