good bar or club in nyc to take girl??

i want to go out with a girl that i knew from highschool but im not sure wheres a good bar or club to take her to?? anyone have any suggestions in or around nyc??

There are hundreds literally. What do you like to narrow it down. A club can be a little over whelming for a first date. A lounge would be better, Whats your budget also

Many suggestions, depends on what you want. If you want an ultra trendy lounges be prepared to grease someone, or if your girls smokin hot you could always use that to your advantage. Saturday night in NYC is a bit Bridge and tunnel, but you could hit up any lounge in the meatpacking district and she would be inpressed. Pink elphant, guest house,or my fav bungalow 8. Tell me what your ideal setting would be, cmon this is New York, there are so many theme restraunts and lounges out there its insane. What type of music, crowd, etc,,let me know

I like Pravda also. Its a martini lounge in Soho. Nice and intimate.

I was just gonna say... in NYC $150 at a dive bar where drinks are $8 or $10 would be fine....I usually drop $280-$300 one night at the upscale lounge/clubs in philly.....NYC probably double that...

clubs are to loud rather go to a lounge... I went on a date in a club and the whole date consisted of yelling in each others ears.

Yea man kman got the spots..ciello is nice too..duvet used to be good not anymore crowd isn't as upscale..marquee...the places are expensive and marquee for example they are very picky in letting ppl in too..i would just to nice bar in that area and u's will have fun

i thought of marquee. Especially it has the music he is asking for. But $150 would just barley get you through the door.

I notice that CLUBS more than lounges seem to let a lot of 'homies' in...To the point that I feel out of place if im not "strapped" and dont have at least 1 gold tooth, and a long fake chain made of aluminum, topped off with a flat brim hat....Not my atmosphere at all, I think the lounges tend to weed out these types because of the prices of drinks. So if your trying to mack it on a chick Id definately go with the lounges, that way neither of you get stuck in a shitty atmosphere...
