My job is far from cake, we recently moved to a new location and I pulled a 30hr shift getting it all moved and racked in and then verifying connectivity. Its been hell on wheels the last two weeks, but I still get my meals in.

Whats even worse is that the ****ing racks we ordered do not fit the rack kits for the servers. So yep, I get to do it all over again next Sunday. woo woo /sarcasm

3-4 guys were working in our server room removing a rack. They were struggling with it and as I walked by they said "you look strong how about giving us some help. We're trying to put this on that cart!" I said oh sure I can help. I pushed the cart closer, said there you go and walked away.

I work in IT also, it's nice...I eat 4 times while I'm at work and noone thinks twice about it, in fact, people are so conditioned to me eating and drinking so much that if I skip a meal someone will question me...

What exactly do you do in the cubicle? Obviously I know its computer work but would someone who isn't a computer programmer be able to do that kinda job?

First off, if you do not have a sincere interest in Information Technology, stay the hell away. Not all IT guys are equal. There are so many different forms of IT its crazy. You need to decide what you want to do (IE: Networking, Programming, Servers)

This is one field where experience is king.

I had a job like that and it sucked. I hate office work and day shift, since I worked grave yard most of my life.

The best thing was when we had office meetings and had bagels and fruit...LOL
