Where do you draw the line---

between being decicated to bodybuilding, doing everything you can to get massive and lean AND enjoying the fruits of your labour, and what does that include.

For example, I'm getting more dedicated to diet/workout to the point where I sometimes don't feel like going out with friends to eat or out, because I might miss a meal, or have to eat something that's not in my diet plan. Also, I enjoy going out to do some hardcore dancing sometime, but fear it will interfere with my plan, when part of the reason I do this is (in addition to pleasing myself) to build a body I can show off, and get lucky with.

Moderation is key, but sometimes I have trouble drawing the line on where that is.

    Anybody else have conflicting goals/objectives?

I've found that i sacrifice a ton in my social life/party life compared to any normal person. My goals are so high that i just kind of shrug off the things that might stand in my way and i might say that i do it on a level that is a little excessive, but if it makes you happy then its worth it

I'm the exact same way. I've worked so hard, accomplished so much. I grew up with nothing and I've done better than most people I know.

It has effected my life in some aspects not possitive. I cannot tolerate hanging around most of my friends for very long because the lack of ambition fusterates me. Most people think I'm an arrogant prick, but I'm probably one of the nicest people you'd ever meet if they knew me.

I've had ex girlfriends tell me i'm too vain and that i think im better than everyone, and in a sense i suppose its true. I think bbers as a whole are far more dedicated and driven than the average person. I try not to come off as a vain prick and that i judge everyone around me, but i suppose i do at times.

I'm in college and I probably only go out to the bar once or twice a month... hardly ever drink. I suppose I'm missing out on some fun that my friends have when they go out every Wednesday thru Saturday but I feel like when I DO go out, I'm a lot more confident. I'd rather maximize the enjoyment of my time when I go out then go out all the time and look like shit and be all self conscious because I haven't been eating or training right.

Nothing, and I mean nothing feels better than wearing a shirt that shouldn't be tight on you but is, and seeing the way that girls turn their heads and look at you. Not to mention the added respect that you get from pretty much everyone, and your friends are commenting on your size, and all the females you talk to are giving you the eye fukk... awesome. Now that's a great night out, I'd trade that for 50 times going out and getting smashed and not having any of that happen.

I draw the live way back. I dont let it get in the way of my reg life. I'm never going to compete dont want to. I just want to look good. I'm not going to sacrifice a social like or fun so i can say i can get to 200lbs. So what i'm 200 doesnt change me i dont get an award. I could care less.

If you compete then its a different story

Yeah I'd much rather go out rarely and feel like "the man" then go out all the time and feel like a little pu$$y cuz I don't eat or train right. Quality, not quantity as I always say.. applies to women as well.

I am working hard (imo) to get in better shape than most so I feel good and so that when people see me they are appreciative of my hard work BUT; like some have said... I do this for me and so if it causing me some weird imposition then it's a little much for my goals with BBing.

I just spent theweekend in Vegas at tehVegoose festival with RATM, Daft Punk, Public Enemy, STS9, and more.. it was CRAZY and there was literally sheit to eat all weekend.. my diet was ridiculous and nowhere near enough.. but WHAT FUN!!!

I work hard and I live life harder.

LOL .. I love the "better then you" attitude... always makes me laugh. What exactly makes someone who trains hard and "looks good" BETTER then someone else? I bet Bill Gates and Trump could pull more pu$$y than anyone of us... heck maybe even all of us combined ... does that make them better then us... even with those dead sexy bodies they have? Believe it or not some would say yes… I disagree ... I think no one is better then me and yet I don't think I'm better then anyone. Well maybe a few on this board... j/k

Vanity does mean excessively proud of one's appearance or accomplishments; conceited BUT it also means lacking substance or worth, Archaic- Foolish

This is what I ask my 8 and 10 year old nephews all the time when they want to spend more time in sports then studying (don't get me wrong, I also emphasize health but I emphasize education more) ... What does the high school football captain call the nerd in 10 years?

    Boss!!!

Maybe I got being “successful” and being “better” confused… I don’t know... JMHO
