ampule breaker

You don't need one, just wrap it in toilet paper up to the neck and then pop it off with the other hand.

I always scored them with a serrated knife and used a pen cap for a little leverage.

The pin cap never worked right for me, I broke a couple of vials. Grip it tight in one hand up to the neck and then pop it off with the other. I could never cut glass?

use a fine file, like what's on your nail clipper's or leatherman and score it until it breaks off rather easily with your fingers. if it won't go, score it again... and again if necessary. easy as cake bro.

forgot to add... push towards the score mark with the top of the amp with your fingers.

Has anyone ever tried breaking the tops off the old Galenika's ??

Those are seriously impossible to break by hand unless you want to smash the whole amp in your hand. I did that twice, had a hand full of oil and broken glass...great. you definitely need some sort of amp opener or something to at least score it

New batches are pre-scored with the white ring.

you can knock the tops off (the Cidotestons, forgot to add that part) by just flicking them with your pinky...to easy IMO

lol. I remember those. I ended up bleeding a few times from trying to open them. I would even wear out a couple amp openers on them. Those things were like my car windshield

Just looked at my hand with my jaw wide open....blood and oil mixing in the palm of my hand

Barrowed a file and opened 25 of them to transferred them into a sterile vial. Much easier that way
