Movies for guys who like movies...
Sup movie buffs?
Tell me you've seen these trailer:
-
whats the deal with Beowulf....seems like a 300 rip of, when he says " I am Beowulf", sounds like "this is Sparta...
also isit a cgi with peoples voices and they look really close to the people or what...looks terrible, imo...
cant wait to see the Mist though...
-
If the Hitman movie is anything like the awesome games it's based on, it's probably awesome.
But it'll probably turn out like most videogame-to-film adaptations: a piece of shit crapfest.
-
Sweet! Im hoping they are all as good as they look. We need more action movies.

The Mist was a really good book...crazy ending. We'll see how the movie plays out

I agree, I can't wait to see it. Plus "I am legend" looks really good, it reminds me of O M E G A Man (1960 movie)

A genuine classic...Charlton Heston!
"I Am Legend" is literally an updated remake, it's odd that they fail to mention this in the profile.
That was '71 though Rana...

Beowulf is a character in an english epic....ancient shit lol we read the book in literature class my senior year in high school and its got a lot of symbolism...long story short its about these soldiers staying in this building and this demon from the lake comes in and continually kills the soldiers. So the king recruits beowulf to come in and slay the beast because Beowulf is nothign short of a epic hero (think of Odyseus from Homer's Epic the Odyssey and Illiad....but imo Beowulf was made to sound more like a bad ass)...i was doubting the book @ first too, but to be honest, i look back now and it wasn't that bad @ all....compared to Great Expectations and the other lame stuff we had to read.....idk if the movie will match up with the book exactly

The Mist and I Am Legend look like they have potential.
Hitman, maybe, but they shouldve got the guy from The Transporter to play him.
The rest of them, I wouldnt pay to see.

EXACTLY! Everyone's been saying this. WHy the hell didn't they just cast Jason Statham as Agent 47?? Instead they got someone who looks to be the worst person for the role. I may be wrong though.

Come on Rana, surely you jest.
At least four times growing up.
'Family Classics' with Frazier Thomas, every Sunday afternoon.
To name a few:
The O M E G A Man
The Mark of Zorro
A Christmas Carol
Moby Dick
The Advenures of Robin Hood (best one ever made)
The Day the Earth Stood Still
The Sound of Music (keep that on the DL)
Journey To The Center Of The Earth
The Time Machine
Tobor the Great
Treasure Island
Gulliver's Travels
And there began my love affair with the silver screen.
Started long before me in '62, I caught the tail end circa 1980:
