Customs?

I ordered from this web site a couple weeks ago (international) and USPS says this when I punch in the tracking number: "Origin Post is Preparing Shipment" and its been saying that for about 4-5 days, does it mean USPS is just waiting to get it from the other carrier, or is it waiting to go through customs, or does customs have it?

In my experience, USPS will not have any tracking info until the package reaches the US, so there is really no way of knowing the status of the package just from that info.
