    New start

I'm not really happy with where i am in my life right now. I'm not where i'm at financially. I dont have many friends where i live. Really does suck. I was thinking of leaving and trying to get a new start some place else. Even thought of a different country.

Just wondering how many of you relocated far away and what you think of your decision now.

Not really sure. I'm thinking fl. This weather here is getting to me. Atleast when its warm i can do something by myself. Goto the beach or the park with my dog. I'm trapped in the house now and i cant take it. My parents have a condo in myrtle beach. I thought of that too, I could possibly stay there till i get settled.

I gotta figure out what I am doing, I finish my master's degree in May. I have a job pretty much locked up in San Diego for like mid 70's/yr. But I am from Chicago, and dont know if I want to be that far away from everything. Though, I interned in the summer in San Diego, beautiful city.

I was thinking of moving to Minnesota, or Northern Michigan, as I am an avid snowmobiler.

If you like snomobiling or skiing you would love this place. Miles and miles of groomed trails and Im surrounded by three ski hills.

I like florida, as soon as I can get a few stores going I'm moving somewhere nice too I want one of those houses close to the beach so when you look out the window or pool it just looks like you are out in the ocean

no not at all. I was meeting people over the summer. I'm' not much into going to bars by myself. I used to when i was younger. At least when its nice out i can do other things by myself. Now i feel trapped.

    gixxer,
I was in the exact same position as you 4 years ago.. I was in San Jose CA and hated it.. wasnt where i was in any state of my life other then haveing a large amount of great friends... I just took plane flights a round the country to different locations for 2-4 day trips to see where i wanted to move.. Picked Austin TX and have never looked back... Didnt know any one for 1800 miles.. it was kinda lonely at first but after a why, I met some great people and here I am.. NEVER have i looked back and I am SO much happier..

Good luck man, I say go for it.. what is the worst that can happen? you move somewhere.. dont like it.. and move back!

Traveling is a good way to start.

There's also alot of shit to think about...
-What are you going to do for work?
-What kind of lifestyle are you looking to lead? Do you want a good nightlife or a smaller town?
-You looking to settle down, get married, and start a family?
-Cost of living & crime rate
    -Climate

    Some things to think about.

You seem like you might be bored without a big city type environment. At least, if a big city wasn't close by.

    A few places:
    -Dallas, TX
    -Los Angeles, CA
    -San Diego, CA
    -Miami, FL
    -Atlanta, GA
    -Phoenix, AZ
    -Houston, TX
    -Orlando, FL

Look into those. All of them are good for singles, nightlife, job growth, and living cost.

If I wasn't doing much of anything with my life I would hit up Costa Rica. AAS are readily available, the people are great, spanish isn't to hard too learn and the women are ****able-not to mention the scenery of the country. There are plenty of americans living down there to socialize with and it shouldn't be too hard to find a half-ass decent gym to train in.

I moved from Long Island to San Diego and about 2 years ago. It's amazing out here because everything is so new since I lived on the east coast my whole life. I moved out here by myself, knowing no one, with no job, no place to live, and with about $5,000 in my pocket. I hated living on LI and I just made a decision to move and picked a drove cross country. I can honestly say it has been the best decision I have ever made in my life.

sounds like u need to move to one of the big cities. i used to live in nyc now im in the midwest. nyc is expensive but theres always something to do.

i dunno about u but i have to experience all the 4 seasons to appreciate the summer and i need to complain about the winters. goin to a warm place sounds real nice but i think u'd get tired of the weather.

    either way good luck

I moved from Chicago to Houston a little over 6 years ago and I have no complaints other than my family is a 1000 miles away. Got a great job, friends, hot ass girls all over the place..plus its only 2 hour drive to Austin..if I could I would move there in a heartbeat..its my favorite city in the US

I moved to Newport Beach, Cali for 6 years. It was awesome. I love the beach, the bars, the peeps. Good, fun, chill parties. Now Im back in Denver and Im making plans with my wife to move to San Diego as soon as she passes the bar. I know well take a hit in our wallets, but you only get one spin around this marry-go-round.

Live today as if it were your last > just like my title says in latin.

I have felt like this for a year!

There is no ****ing reason for me to stay here. I thought about moving to Vegas, San Diego or maybe overseas. I don't care anymore, i just wanna get the **** outta here. I have not made any friends (literally) because I do not party and drink. That seems to be what literally everyone does, party and drink and act like ****ing morons.

    ^^It sucks...

Everyone I (used to) know drinks and eats like crap. Ive noticed that I dont get phone calls anymore or as much to do stuff. Im glad Im married, because I can hang out with other couples alot and thats okay. However, having my own social life is pretty rough. Even the guys at the gym that I see a lot dont seem to worry too much about going out and getting bombed on the weekends...
