Background check

Does anybody know what comes up on a regular background check?
Does it show what school's you went to and everything or is it just like criminal records?

depends where you are i think. i've had to submit criminal records checks but never a background check.

i guess it depends who its for...my ex worked security for a place that made bombs for the military and they checked every little thing. from where you were born, what schools you went to, if your adopted and where you lived, jobs, criminal, everything...but for you there probably just checking criminal
