Anybody see the MTV True Life tonight? As always, off base on facts, using anecdotal evidence as side effects, and misconstruing the lifestyle.
The best part: "Steroids killed our son"
A couple goes on about how their son decided to use steroids to bulk up to make the baseball team at USC. At some point in college, he goes into a psychotic rage, and drops out of school, moves back in with his parents and goes off of steroids. Here is where the "dramatic sensationalism" kicks in. About 6 months after going off steroids, one night he drives about 2 miles away from home, and shoots himself. The couple says, "Steroids killed our son".
Gimme a break!! Could we not consider he had: 1.) Emotional instability 2.) Depression 3.) Drug addiction 4.) Psychosis (as the parents said he had)
Furthermore, I would argue that a loaded pistol in the hand of a lunatic was the cause of death....
The mom said, "He just couldn't handle the steroid withdrawals anymore!" LOL - I'm sorry for your loss honey but the scapegoating is a bit far fetched on this one!!
