Anybody watch "True Life - I'm on Steroids"?

Anybody see the MTV True Life tonight? As always, off base on facts, using anecdotal evidence as side effects, and misconstruing the lifestyle.

The best part: "Steroids killed our son"

A couple goes on about how their son decided to use steroids to bulk up to make the baseball team at USC. At some point in college, he goes into a psychotic rage, and drops out of school, moves back in with his parents and goes off of steroids. Here is where the "dramatic sensationalism" kicks in. About 6 months after going off steroids, one night he drives about 2 miles away from home, and shoots himself. The couple says, "Steroids killed our son".

Gimme a break!! Could we not consider he had: 1.) Emotional instability 2.) Depression 3.) Drug addiction 4.) Psychosis (as the parents said he had)

Furthermore, I would argue that a loaded pistol in the hand of a lunatic was the cause of death....

The mom said, "He just couldn't handle the steroid withdrawals anymore!" LOL - I'm sorry for your loss honey but the scapegoating is a bit far fetched on this one!!

i hated that show... one kid was a raging asshole that yelled at his girlfriend the whole time... another was a gay kid who wanted to get big so he could win a strip contest at a local gay bar... and i forgot about the other one... but i like the "my son couldn't take the steroid withdrawls anymore"... hah what withdrawls?! i hate ignorant people!

The transition was laughable! I was waiting to hear that he developed heart disease of something that at least they could "loosely" connect to steroids . Suicide? 6 MONTHS LATER? Come on!

Oh and I love the focus on "Roid rage ". If someone on steroids gets upset at anything, its roid rage. It doesn't matter that 99.9% of people would have reacted the same way. He is on steroids, and he is upset, therefore he is roid raging.

Whats funny about that was that they don't say what they were using the model guy was using deca and test suspension I believe which I wouldn't pair those together but oh well. The blonde guy was using just test and his therapist tells him he's outta control, but he goes and tells everybody and even gets scammed LOL. The fighter guy was using Winny I belive since its an oral steroid supposed to make the muscles hard, but Winny isn't that strong in relation to other steroids out there, he was just an asshole not from steroids.
People say they're bad and cause this and that but fail to mention what they were running and how long they were running which is vital to help correct problems in a cycle, its all propaganda b/c they know alota young ppl watch MTV.

I agree 100%. Society likes to take what they don't like out. Alcohol gets ugly people laid, keeps people happy and gets them out of depression (when in turn puts them into worse depression) and everyone can have fun with no dedication to doing hard work becuase of lazyness. Steroids make people look better and give more confidence to one and society doesnt like that and I think its becuase of jealosy to a certain extent. They don't want to take the time and hard work it takes to look good so they criticize the steroid community. Very stupid IMO. I just love it when someone is sipping a beer on the verge of trying to get drunk and they rant about how steroids are so bad, yet they want to go drive drunk to some party and are stoked about it....IDIOTS!

I wish they would do a unbiased show on steroid users. But use people who are experienced with anabolics and know the advantages and disadvantages. Use people who also do pct and dont complain about mood swings and depression when there test level crashes. Very stupid show
