Trying To Make A Farewell Video

hey guys, more than likely i'm going to be leaving this hell hole i've been living in, and moving out west lol i wanna make a video for my family and friends i'm leaving here @ home, just maybe throw some photo's together, and play some music in the background and just run wild with it- anyone know of any shareware programs that are PERFECT for this? i wanna shorten songs down and do all that, for some reason my computer didn't come with microsoft powerpoint- which i've used to do something similar before- i just don't want this thing to come out looking generic...i've downloaded share ware called "Open Office" and its pretty much a bundle of excel, powerpoint, and word- just not by microsoft...i'd even be willing to pay a small amount <$50 to pick up a nice program by adobe or something....keep in mind i've got Windows ME.....i wish i had a Mac right now....

Windows ME! holy shit!!! Yes a MAC would be sweet for what you want. I think you should have a look at some of the tutorials on Youtube. Not only will you have some good guidance but you may also get a little inspiration...

For top quality shot you can use stuff like Photoshop etc... here is a link with some basics on Windows Movie Maker however as I think that may be your best bet with what you have......
