When do you know you are ready for the next level of training?

Okay my iron brothers and sisters, doin some research on this subject.

Internet is full of varied answers.
Just wondered what some of you thought about this.
If a beginner to training is thinking they are at a plateau, is it time to do intermediate work?
At what point should you consider yourself an intermediate lifter?
    Advanced lifter?

Some of my findings tell me that it is all about the mastery of periodized training, understanding intensity, form being spot on, knowing how to mix various exercises for effect rather than just a workout and most importantly, connecting the mind and muscle together.

    Your thoughts are appreciated.
    Thanks!

When you plateau its time to change training and diet, maybe some time off. But really it just comes down to dieting/training and resting more. Dedication defines what type of level your at, it doesn't matter size nor strength imo, because that can b obtained easily enough through use of AS. I applaud the natural guys that are in there banging everyday along with me, getting stronger and bigger but at a slower pace, but never give up.

Everything was impossible until somebody did it!

    I've got 99 problems......but my squat/dead ain't one !!

It doesnt matter how good looking she is, some where, some one is tired of her shit.

Light travels faster then sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.

Great place to start researching ! http://forums.steroid.com/anabolic-s...-database.html

You'll probably get better answers in the training forum.

But anyways, first you have to define what 'the next level' is. And I think whether or not someone is a beginner, intermediate, or advanced is all relative to the person. There is no one set standard. Some people advance faster, and others advance slower. Most usually you'll get a feel for what level you are at.

Good point Atomini, but I was thinking this could be an open forum for member's thoughts so I could gather some info for my research - thus my logic to post here.
If mods need to move it - that's cool.

How do you get that "feel".
Is it from within, what you read, what others tell you, the mirror?
