I quit my old job on dec 14th and started a new one. At my new place i dont get paid till Jan 7th. My old job owes me a week salary and over 3 weeks vacation time and commission. I know i wouldn't receive my commission till mid Jan because thats when they pay it out. I checked my account yesterday they didnt give me my salary or PTO pay.

I called my hr and they returned my call late in the day. They told me the held my pay to they could inventory my store. To make sure i didnt steal. They did it last wed but it was to late to make payroll for the week, They never told me they were doing this and its not in our company policy anywhere. Now i have to wait till next Friday for them to Mail me a check which i probably wont get till the following week. And with the New years it won't clear to after.

I'm so screwed im broke after Christmas shopping and dont know if i have enough cash to live off of for the next 10 days. finally had a date with a girl i was trying to get with tonigth now i'm going to have to make up a reason to cancel.

I'm so screwed i dont know what the hell to do. If there is anything i can even do

That sucks man... I similarly I'm broke for the holidays... I got a call on a collection I owed $1,000 was hoping to take care of it mid January... unfortunately the company sold it to a collection agency which was in the process of filing judgment....They would settle for 700 but didnt take CC's, mid January would be too late...I'm a commission only based employee... moral of the story... I'm broke and living off of CC's until mid january...

wow, I think the collection agencys wait til the beginning of Dec because they know we have stashed away some cash and they come up with some offer we cant refuse...mine was a civil arrest warrant if I didnt pay! lol..

anywas Bro, atleast you got the shopping done.... I would take this girl out somewhere cheap but thoughtful...like Ice Skating or something...snow tubing and get some food at the lodge....cost you maybe 30-40 total if you can dig it up from someone, if not you could try explaining your situation to this chick and hopefully she will understand, it is christmas and the fact you are broke becasue you bought everyone gifts is a commin occurance.... Dont stress it too much, if she cares that much about your $$$ then the hell with her anyways!! But trust me, if you got a place to go Ice Skating or something in Belgium, that shit is romantic...like 10USD max and buy 2 hot cocoas.... just hold her hand or some soft shit like that and youll be in the clear

Yeah lifes a bltch I broke as hell and this season has sucked and I'm just trying to hold on for a couple of weeks till peak tanning season Jan-july. I'm behind on everything and working as many of the hours as I can to cut payroll
