Yeah probably the best thing. I can feel when im about to get sick too... I seldom have antibiotics for colds n stuff, when i fall ill i normally just fight it off naturally, if it goes to my chest which it normally does i just use Vicks, best thing going i think.
For most flus when im off my food i normally just take 2 OXO cubes in a mug of boiling water with 6-8 slices or bread to dip in it, sorts me right out.

I can tell when I am about to get sick as well. Thats when I beat the piss out of my body even more though.. I tend to play sports/lift better when sick. Especially if I have a fever, it is as if my adrenaline kicks in faster and harder. Quite fun actually

I NEVER use antibiotics. If i get really sick i might go to the doc just to make sure it's nothing serious but for some reason he would always prescribe antibiotics. I would just throw out the prescription and go home and fight it off with rest and proper nutrition.
Ill save the anti's for when i am in really bad shape like in a hospital or something.

I never get sick. I just take it easy when i sense it.
I remember when i was in high school i never called out sick once ! my bro and sis always got off. It was so bad...well good that my mom told me i could have 7 days off a year where she would just call me out sick from school since i never really needed !! I love her hahaLast edited by DSM4Life; 01-04-2008 at 09:00 AM.

The lurgy (also spelled lurgi) is British English slang for an unspecified or mythical contagious disease, generally one considered inconvenient and non-fatal with obvious symptoms, such as influenza or the common cold. Phrases like "I've got the lurgi" are commonly heard when somebody is explaining why they cannot attend a social occasion, come to work, etc. It is also often referred to as "The Dreaded Lurgi", based on a Goon Show episode from 1954.

Yeah but i mean when you are isolated and cant take it easy. imagine if you were away in the hills sumwhere. like camping or something and were a good day or 2 away from immediate medical attention.
Say you came down with diarrhea, condiditons like that can soon get life threatening if you cannot take on fluids, but that is in extreme situations, im not suggesting you will ever and its is not likely i will either be in that situation but better to be safe than sorry.
As they say its better to have had them and not needed them...
But on your condition i say all you need is a hot bath with some Olbas oil in it. that will sort you out.
