    My bonehead move at the gym today

    So i go over to the squat rack and i see the m@#$ F@#$@@ bar filled with plates AGAIN !!! This happened to me last time. Now mind you last time i push the bar to the side and grabed a bar off the bench. As i walked back to the squat rack a guy told me no one was using the bar anymore and i quickly responded with "Im not unracking the bar" and kept walking.


    Well today someone was using the squat rack (the nicer rack) so all i had left was the power rack (where you set height yourself with pins and all). Well the support bars were low and there were about about 6-7 plates on each side. I was so pissed i just starting throwing them off one at a time cursing to myself. Well i was so caught up in rage that i pulled the last 45 off from my side not realizing at the time that there were 6-7 plates still on the other side. I slide the plate off and the bar took off, lol. Since there were so many plates on the other end of the bar the plates kept the bar standing straight up and no one was around at the time to get hurt. Although one guy did see what happened and I just looked at him and said “wow.”


    Thinking back to it now, when i pulled that last plate i could almost hear my brain laugh at me as the bar flew up.

    Oh well, i get the goofball award for the day.

    Haha thats great. I feel so stupid when i'm pissed and doin something like that then i **** up and look like the idiot. Oh well. People need to replace their shit though.

    I can undrstand leaving one maybe two plates on but when you have like 7 plates on each side that pisses me off to no end.

    I have seen that happen before in my highschool weights class, accept when the bar flew off it cracked the guy in the chin. Somehow he still had all his teeth and managed not to even get cut. It was funny as hell!!!

    LOL, yeah Goodcents would be devastated if you messed up your mug.

    Now that I thought about it a little more the kid didnt get away unscaved. I recall him having the plates smashing his foot and him limping around for a few days. Its amazing that he didnt break anything, I am glad you shared your story (not glad that it happened to you though cause it could have been bad)cause I have been remembering all the accidents that I have see and done myself and have been having a pretty good laugh out of it.

    What i do when an A$$ leaves a bar loaded. I put a towle on the bar to show it is in use. Then I go a staff member and let them unload it while i stand thier. I did that twice now they police peolpe leaving bars loaded and weights on the floor and those dam bounce do nothing balls.

    i feel you on that. One time i wanted to do curls, and there was a guy next to the curl pad doing abs. He was in between sets, when i took the weight offa one side of the curl bar, it completely flipped over and in guillatine motion landed right where his head was when he was doing abs. Good thing he was in between sets.. He just looked at me with wide eyes... I felt like a dipshit

    People need to clean the plates off of thier bar, it does not matter if it is a 10lb plate

    I totally agree and i always do the same.

    I once helped an older women clean the weight off of the leg press as some d!ick left the machine filled. She could barely even lift the 45's off and there were about 20 of them on there.

    The little punks in my gym leave the plates laying all over the place. I know they're kids cause all the plates are 10 and 25's. if your strong enough to lift em off the rack your strong enough to put em back.

    Tonite was funny actually. I'm taking a break between sets helping my daughter and some kid starts unracking MY bar. I was like 5 feet away with my bag sitting right next to the squat rack. I'm like "not so fast junior...."

    Same shit happened to me a couple of weeks ago but it was an old guy. I do one minute rest in-between sets and I was talking to a friend 2 inches away and this ass thinks he is going to use it without asking.

    I have a full gym not at home , for that reason alone . F@$kin kids every were , not uloading or wiping down there eqiupment .

    I train at a local commercial-as-hell fitness studio simply because I get a free membership from my job. I go over every day during lunch and it sucks because the morning people have already messed up the gym. There are plates everywhere, you have to play "find the missing dumbbell"; it sucks...

    my universities rec would drive you all nuts. The dumbells are never in order, or in pairs, if you find one, theres no garauntee youll find the other. In fact theres only one 35. Plates are all over, racks are empty, and sometimes it takes me longer to find the rights weights than it does the actual exercise. I hate to sound come off as racist (im not), but i have observed carefully and the vast majority of this is caused by the brothers. or "cuzins" since im white. however it goes

    It's not racist; I know you don't mean all black people that go there mess it up. lol. There are always those cliques at gyms that fuck it up. My gym has the Russian-mafia wannabees, the German tekno funboys and the Saggy-but-ripped alte men.

    At my gym it's the skinny little white kids with the tight wife beaters trying to look big but not doing a good job at it.

    the worst is when people work out with shirts off, and they are overweight and really sweaty, but are doin it cuz their cut friend is doing it. And dont wipe of the equipment. Its against the "rules" but its not like anyone enforces them...
