I wouldn't use either, look for something with solid sole, indoor soccer shoe or wrestling boot. With air/cusin soles i would be worried about rolling an angle in middle of squat or something.

Exactly, I have a huge collection of shoes that I wear to workout, but on leg days, it is black low Otomix power trainers.

I can't stand shoes like those. I'm too careful to roll an ankle during a workout. Only way I would is if I'm on the treadmill and some hottie walks in and I trip and fall. I'm goin more for looks here...... Gotta be in style to workout these days.

    (Plus, they're free.....)

i go to the gym old school style. Low cut converse chuck taylors. it makes me feel like i am barefoot, so my balance and foot stance is more natural. plus i won't roll my ankle. i also think they make my claves look bigger!

I have worn the original Nike Shox for my workouts since they were available-about a year and a half now. I have never had a problem keeping my balance, rolling ankles, ect. They also are an excellent choice if you do cardio on a regular basis. Your feet will thank you.

I use a sturdy shoe-boot hybrid (Nike ACG), medium cut that offers stability and support. Great for legs and everything else. But I opt for as softer soul when doing calves.

They're a little bulky so if you have skinny legs you may want to pass

I have a the same pair as Pete but different colour. Never though about using those for squating. Looks like leg did will have a change in the shoe department next week. As for me I have used Nike air Max in the past and have had great sucess with them. But just last week decided to try something new. I went to the NewBalance 751's I love them. They have good support another with being amazingly comfortable.

I can't be seen in those !! I'm a style man - mesh short, t-shirt (not baggy) & some stylin kicks to the gym. Plus these will be my running shoes as well, my yoga class shoes, my jump rope shoes, my whatever shoes.
