I picked up the flu a couple days ago, I've been battling it, feeling my worst today.
I was just made aware that my father, who has been fighting cancer for quite a while, is really on the way out, possibly within days. I spoke with him, and I would say that assessment is accurate.
I need to get up there and see him, but I have the flu. I say fvck my personal welfare, but I cannot risk spreading it, especially to a dying man.
What can I do? How do I kick this flu out of me as fast as possible, not be contagious, in time to visit before it's too late?
I went to the clinic, they took some blood, did some tests, and confirmed it is viral, not bacterial. If it was bacterial I'd be swallowing horse pills of antibiotics, but viral sickness has no such magic bullet. Need help.
