Signs of a abscess... ?

hey guys, for those of you that have had a abscess what were your signs..... I injected in my side quad 4 days ago and it was extremely sore .... but the soreness has not gone away ... the pain has subsided but the soreness is still there .... I have never been sore this long with any inject...... so abscess is the only think i can think of ...... the problem is ....

1. there is a lump on top of muscle sore to touch .....
2. It is not hot to the touch.....
3. I dont not have a fever .....
4. No redness around the site .... just bruising....

For guys that have had one what were your symptoms......

If it was a sterile inject which sounds like it... it turns into a hard lump that needs to be removed....

UG? I've been reading on another board of many others having large lumps and they seem to be agreeing that their gear has an abnormal amount of BA in it. Just my thoughts.

thats what my thoughts were .... inject wasnt deep enough in the muscle and its high ba content being absorbed causing increase in tenderness and swelling ....

inject was sterile and not rushed ...... standard ....

antibiotics prescribed to you by a doctor will get rid of the infection if detected in the early enough stages which is why i am starting this post to get some real answers ...

Cut it with b-12 from Ar-R or MCT oil

keep on eye on it, rub it out, take really hot baths, if it gets really ****ing sore and begins to spread...get some antibiotics

I wouldn't worry about it than, if its an isolated incident.

I've had bad shots here n there sometimes also... sometime if trying to shoot in the Lats ( i dont even bother anymore) cause it is so hard to reach there.

give it a couple of days and hope it starts feeling better.

But the good news is i'm shorting yen against the dollar, and i might make some extra loot.

i've had plenty of these and give em time and they always go away....however i always freak out and think they're abscess' however they go away. i never get a fever but they get big and hard knots and real sore but i alternate ice and heat and they usually go down within a week or so just ride it out until you feel sick

Yes.. but Damn didnt anyone else listen to me it becomes a hardened pocket of dead cells.... GP will cut it out of your leg for like 200 bucks.... small incision quick recovery... your missed the muscle belly or the shot was entirely too superficial...

Yea my left glute was my second shot ever I shot testE one ml wiggled the needle to much had a bruise around the injection area the size of a golf ball. it was sore for 6 days. That when I started shotin quads. Now I shot glute glute quad quad.

It doesn't sound like an abscess, however, don't rule it out altogether. You could have taken on a shot that had too much BA which often causes pain, inflammation, soreness, bruising, etc.. It usually subsides after 5-7 days gradually decreasing in pain and discomfort. I would keep a close eye on it though because if it is an abscess and you start letting it get out of control, you are certainly going to see the end of a scalpel. If it doesn't start to improve, I would set up an appt. with your GP.

theres only one lab ive heard of right now that is having problems with BA concentration. Since pewn has been using the same gear and lots of injects with it already i doubt it is the BA concentration.

I have some prop from a lab thats been having BA concentration issues, im holding my breath that i dont have any issues with it

yeah, its just a little sore ... it bruised up a little more but now it seems to have disipated enough to rule out a abscess....

p.s. it is def not the ug that amorph is talking about ....

I got a abcess about a year ago. I shot front delt and felt fine, then a few days later it swole up pretty bad. It moved its way down towards my bicep, there was no pain but it was a little warm to touch. But if I pushed on it you could feel the fluids moving in the pocket. I went to the ER and they opened it up to get and got all the fluids out. A week later I was fine.
