Back pain
I've been having back pain so I went to the dr's and he gave me some muscle relaxers,
So my question is do you think if I take these muscle relaxers that it will hurt my gains from the gym?
Because if that is the case I'd rather put up with the pain.
If you have any knowledge on this subject please inform me.
much thanks

Go to a chiropractor man. I always thought they were bullshit until I found out my insurance covered a couple visits per year. Within a few weeks my back felt great.

How are muscle relaxors going to correct the problem ? Your Doc is a moron.
Do yourself a favor and try and get to the root of the problem. When does your back hurt ? Is it when you wake up in the morning ? Do certain movements at the gym? Do you even work your back out ? (yes, which movements) Are you always wearing a belt ?
Fill us in on some more details. IMO chiropractors are a waste.

Sometimes chiropractors can make ur back better, but its only for a couple weeks in my experience. More info would let us diagnose it better tho

naproxen isn't a muscle relaxant, it's an NSAID like ibuprofen. Yeah, it can dimish your gains slightly. Take the pills and take it easy on your back, they will greatly reduce the time it takes for your back to get better, then you can lift harder again.

flexeril is shit iMO never did diddly for any of my issues involving neck (traps w/ huge knots)
a theraputic massuse that knows chiropractic skills is the best since chiropracters just yank shit around, while a massuse will actually relax the muscle so when she repositions the joint/spine it will stay and not have the muscle try to pull it back to its oringinal position.. but those types of massuses are FEW AND FAR between.

Well a little bit of background on my back pain is...
about 4 weeks ago I was remodeling my bedroom so I had to sleep on the couch for like 2 weeks. and I think that is where it all started.
I would notice a slight pain in my back nothing to bad.
But then I got all new stuff for the bedroom new dressers BED! and ever since then I have been waking up with really bad back pain.
Some days it doesnt hurt that bad then other days I can barely walk.
I don't like going to the dr's but after 4 weeks of putting up with this I couldn't stand it anymore.
At first I thought it was my kidneys because it was in the lower left side of my back,
but my dr. took x-rays and said there was nothing wrong and it is probably just a pinched muscle and advised me to take off work for 1 week.
But that is not an option because I have bills to pay.
I really don't want to take off from going to the gym either.
at this point I don't know what to do it seems that it's not going to go away.
But for my back exercises I do, (Dead lifts, One arm dumbell rows, Good mornings,) and thats about it.

So you got a new bed and now you are having back pain ? Possible its the mattress ?

I get back pain if i sleep on a really soft bed. One trick i learned was to put a piece of plywood under the mattress to help make it more firm and it has helped a lot.
If all else fails you might just need to chalk it up and get a new bed. I know it sucks because they are expensive but do you realize how much time you actually you spend in a bed. It would be well worth it in my opinion to spend more cash to get a good nights sleep.
