Some clarity on Spitzer?

This brief ABC News report offers some clarity as to why men of this stature (Hart, Clinton, Gingrich, Craig, Swaggart, Baker, etc.) find themselves in such unenviable positions. I don't necessarily subscribe to the poorly wired frontal lobe theory, but rather the fact that just as virtual nobodies can be caught daily, so EVENTUALLY can the somebodies that happen to be men of influence and power. Again, this is a VERY brief and commentary, that I hope will stimulate debate among the more conscientious current event minded members...

I don't understand. he had to resign for moral issues? so far as i've read he just paid for sex, didn't he? i'm not north american. but i think a great majority of politians in the world pay for sex and lot of money. was he a good governor?

I think he resigned but with a bonus. He made $1.9 million last year.

Nah, it's a little more serious than that...you're looking at it from a Bill Clinton perspective where he merely cheated on his wife, but also may have lied under oath.

Spitzer is the governor and has a reputation for ridding the state/NYC of crime. Well, now he's the high level official who has been exposed as a member of the criminal community (solicitor and partaker of prostitution), hence, he must be cleaned out.

Yes, he was a great governor, and many other officials may pay for it but they're more adept at keeping it discreet...Spritzer is out of the closet, so to speak.

thanks Magic, now it's clear. i saw his resignation in new york times web page. It was very impressive. You don't see politians so respecfull of the public responsabilities in all the countries in these days.
