    Family Traditions

Dunno if its been done here before. Thought it would be cool to share some ideas for all to appreciate and maybe put into our own lives. Share… big or small fun or dull, dosent matter, have fun with it!

Every year we reserve a round of golf on the first day of daylight savings.

End of the month we all do sushi with friends

We eat at ortegas right by the water in Puerto Nuevo, Mexico every time we go.

My family is Armenian and we always celebrate Armenian x-mass on Jan 6th. Of course we celebrate Xmass still on the 25th like everyone else, but we just save one gift under the tree for Armenian Xmass, it is always really laid back and special to us all.

Also my wife and my son and I put a candle on our doorstep every September 11th to remember those lost that day. This one is really really near to me, i get very emotional even thinking about it

My family is french Canadian and one of our traditions (which is typically old school Quebecois) is that christmas is celebrated on Xmas eve, not xmas day.

The close family gets together on the 24th for supper, then an evening together and at midnight we open our gifts with the oldest male present handing out the gifts from under the tree.

This is one of the few traditions that hasn't changed in nearly 40 years (longer as this went on when my father was a kid 60+ years ago) except for the last few years because of my job (we "moved" xmas a few days down 'cause I was on duty Xmas night)

Then on Xmas day the entire extended family gets together for a turkey supper.

It's pretty well the only family tradition I have...

Every summer we go to the Wisconsin Dells and spend the day at Noah's Ark Outdoor Waterpark.
