Certified Letter At The Post Office from "Treasury"???

I got a card in my mail box today saying that there's a certified letter waiting for me at the post office and the sender is "Treasury"...

I got a letter a few weeks ago about getting that extra refund check from the government soon - did anyone get that check by certified mail?

They wouldn't be doing audit's this time of year would they?

little early to be doing audits.. though if it is, it won't be necessary for you to accept the letter, only for them to show that they made reasonable attempts to contact you including the certiified letter, likely sent by a legal process server; if, in fact, it is for this purpose...

    I say accept it.

If this was a common practice, wouldn't there be a lot of people going to the post office?
