    Experiences With Mono

So, I met this girl and found out she had mono a long time ago. I know it is a virus, so once you have it, it's there forever. I am very weary of things, so I dunno if it is to go to first base or not?

Anyone had mono before? Have you passed it on to someone else?

Or have you hooked up with someone who has had it in the past? Did you catch it or not?

I had it about 15 years ago. I had a girlfriend at the same time and she didn't catch anything from me. I lost 6 months of my life to Mono, in the gym that is. I couldn't walk up a flight of stairs without taking a nap at the top. It zaps all your energy.

I've had mono, in college, and it kicked my ass. It seems that you are more prone to catch it from someone when you are fatigued, overtrained, immune system is weak, etc.

In high school, my girlfriend had mono. After she got over it, I was diagnosed with a severe case of it and ended up spending a week in the hospital due to it.

I've never fully recovered either, which truly sucks. Ever since then I've been groggy and never had the same energy. My Epstein-Barr Virus count in my bloodwork has always remained abnormally high, and doctor's have tried all kinds of different medication combos to attempt to help me, but with no good results.

I know my case is rare, but that's my story. (Oh yes, as far as a time frame, it's been almost 18 years since I was diagnosed with Mono).
