Ill make this short..

Got a chic I work with and weve been dating a while. Shes basically madly in love with me and Im ready to end it. I have to see her at work and work with the same people...

...so how to end it nicely...

And dont say sleep with her mother because I still have to work with her...and her mother is not hot.

I would just tell her you dont want to date her anymore. Dont go into any long explanation and risk making it worse. Keep it short and simple. I think most people appreciate that.

just be honest that you dont see the relationship going anywhere. if you have to work with her your best bet is to make sure it isnt an ugly breakup

I bet shes dated one of you guys before. When I went over to pick her up her mom was all excited to see me....like "thats what I get some of if you two break up"

It might take less than you think. If you can make it seem like your really depressed and not happy with your current situation. I'll bet she might try to accomadate you, but make it seem like it was her idea.

Gonna be awkward. No way around that, but knowing this will make it easier. Do not expect it to go perfectly and tell her that. Say hey i know we work together and this isnt going to be easy but the truth is that I dont see this going any further than it already has.

Breaking up sucks, I hate doing it but short and sweet is the only way to do it I have found. Dragging it out even one minute longer than you need to feels like an hour.

If you want things to go as best as possible, don’t start nailing someone else right away either, wait.
Think of what you are going to tell her, forcast what she might say and have statements ready. Speak though your heart and speak soft.
Maybe just tell her that you are not ready for a relationship, she is a great girl and you hope the 2 of you can still remain friends. Expect her to ask “why, what went wrong, I love you”. You just have to stick to your guns about it, don’t answer all her phone calls either, they will be long and drawn out and accomplish nothing.

needs to be done very professional because of the work situation. explain that you don't think its going to work because of some split feelings you're having in and out of work. explain that it is universally known that these things are rough and you're really working hard for **whatever*** and you cant make the same kind of commitment you were previously. personally i would try to find a way to go out with a few folks from work and invite her. whether she comes or not doesn't matter. it means you still respect her.

that's a rough idea of how i would probably handle it.

stop caring about her, act rude, ignore her andlet her break up haha. just act weird around her now, or even easier just start seeing someone else and let her "accidentally" see the two of you. basically just let her get the message and let her say it then you dont have to do the hard stuff and messing with work.
