Just got a call from the secretary at my doctors office. It seems the results of my blood test have come back & she wants me to go in & see her this friday.


I'm so f#cken anxious because the only thing i can think about is the last thing the secretary said to me before i left after my blood test.

I asked her "so you'll let me know when the results get back"

& she said "we'll only let you know if something is wrong"

What the f#ck?

I wouldn't hit the panic alarm just yet. If there is something critical, they wouldn't put it off until Friday. You may have shown some abnormal levels hence the follow up on Friday. It could be a million things so try and relax a little. If you are that worried, call into the office and tell them the nature of your concern and waiting until Friday just won't cut it. They always have a little pad time built in and certainly could see you for 15 minutes to go over your labs. Sometimes you just have to be stern in your approach though.

Maybe they want you to come in to tell you that you're fine just so they can charge your insurance an office visit. Don't worry, if it was something serious they wouldn't have you wait 5 days.
