"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

3"Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? 5You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.

This is what i don't understand. Ok listen, i understand that you bible thumpers don't like gay people right ? Then why when the city is having a peaceful gay rights day where people from all around come (with their children) these bashers decided to come and tell everyone they are going to hell ? Interesting thread!...I've read the scriptures a little and from what I can tell, Jesus never involved himself in this type of behavior...Nor did the first century Chiristians...They appear to have been peaceful people...

When u read the book of Acts, it's loaded with thier (Genuine Christians) examples...From what I can tell, thier main work was telling people about God's kingdom and what it will and can do for mankind (Beautiful message by the way)...

So then, "what message does that send to others about their own relgion"?..That's for the reader of the Bible to dicern IMHOP...People say that one can read the Bible and obtain different perceptions...Is this so?...Maybe...However, if God is who He says He is, then I humbly believe that He will communicate the "same" unified message to ALL who want to know the truth of it...I don't see Him using cults, sects, and the like to purpose His message...That would make Him reside in a bad light...I can't see God as being unorgainized, unfair, unjust, unloving, merciless, unkind, peacless, and so forth...Also, I see Him as being quiet qualified in handling His affairs...

So, I'm sure He wouldn't be behind radical movements...All thruout the Bible the message presented is in regards to the Kingdom of God...Sure, along the way, we see God's principle's and laws as well...Also, we can view how He (God) dealt with His people in the past...Anyway, again, interesting thread...Peace!

The message of Christ is clear: Love, compassion, forgiveness. It's not the message that's a problem, it's man's perversion of His word to suit their particular needs at the time. Yes, we have alot of folks that call themselves Christians that evidently don't understand what Christ COMMANDS his followers to do.

As to the marriage between gays, i personally don't approve of it, but it's not the Federal Govt's 'problem' to solve, it should be 'controlled' by the state, in the form of a vote by the people, not by a judge somewhere. If the state of Florida residents want to vote 'in' gay marriage, then that's their right, IMHO.
