I forgot mothers day one year, and my mom refused to pick me up from college to come home for the summer.

She got over it though and came and got me.

Mom's suffered 2 consecutive misdiagnosed strokes just after chemo therapy so her eyes are constantly rotating and cant do anything but listen to the tv or music.... Kinda hard to find something she'll enjoy.

I was thinking i could probably find those books on tape, she loved steven king and shit like that. to the library!

thanks webb I appreciate it, God bless her little heart all couped up in the house 2 years streight like her own prison, can only leave for doctor visits.

Still tryin to think of something better than that though... she gets joy outta the smallest things these days ill figure it out.

Sad thing is she was the single most honest, nicest, most respectful person i know. shitty how the worst things happen to the best people...

thats no shit.....my grandpa had a brain tumor, then after all the chemo he's had several strokes....he's paralyzed and can't get himself around very well- only in a powered wheelchair.......he was only 56 when they found the tumor....my grandma was 54.....well shes pretty much dedicated her life to taking care of the man, and that leaves her little time for much else. She babysits my 5 year old nephew daily, and i even lived with her for 2 years after my parents got a divorce. i love my grandma to death, and didn't wanna leave...but back on subject....i've got dinner reservations set up for them at red lobster (her favorite, and she hasn't ate there in literally 6 or 7 years)........found a babysitter for the nephew, and my mom is helping out by getting my grandpa to the restaurant then i'm taking granny there, and dropping her off, and my mom and i are going to go eat next door at the outback....all on me....

so make dinner reservations for your mom maybe?, and of course pay...

yeah man my mom was 39 when she had her first stroke. happened on july 4th 2 years ago. the same day korea was about to test those rockets. i remember it vividly, shitty situation to have to carry your convulsing mom out to the car and hit the E room.

    ANYWAYS

Yeah ima go and get her the books on tape and maybe a scrap book kit, and help her make it while reminissing on the old days.
