Its a normal day and I get called into work for a meeting. I work at a well known supplement store and i love the job. I go in and the President and CEO are in the back room (the company is Pittsburgh based and the HQ is Downtown). They come in and start talking about the govt pushing to get creatine off the shelves and what not, which is complete and total B.S. So now that we are the only D1 store in the area, we need to set a "responsible example". So we are now required to card everyone who looks less than 26 and can not sell creatine to anyone under 18. And, if they come in with a parent and the parent says they are buying it for their child we must deny them.

Whats next? the govt gonna ban steak and eggs?

It doesn't matter whether its proven safe or not. The majority of the Scheduled I-III substances are completely safe and have little side effects. The prohibition of substances has absolutely nothing to do with their safety and everything to do with the "moral" perception of using such substances.

Actually, in all seriousness, vitamins are probably next. In fact, I think Canada is passing legislation right now and our Congress voted on legislation in 2007, but it didn't pass. However, I suspect we'll see this bill again.

Don't know if you are a commissioned employee or how banning your store would effect you, but is one way to drive home our point. Complaining on this board is not doing much. Our small 'community' should be more vocal and assertive before our lifestyle is totally squashed.

There is a lot of truth to that and people do not realize it. It will only get worse the next election for the general public. We will continue to loose rights until the next revolution that is bound to happen unless they are successful in banning arms and the public is left defenseless. Yes we are very close to needing a cleaning of the government with a revolution and starting over again. Most people under 20 don't realize the rights we have lost in just the last 20 years. Our grandparents I'm sure can tell you they have lost many rights. Even though the smoking ban looks like a good thing it is still just one more right that people have lost.
