you know, on second thought I can see politics ruining this board for a few months. It's too easy for both sides to get worked up. I think from here on out I will "bite my tongue" when it comes to political comments in the lounge.

I think a thread should be started where you can vote, but not post.
Will show rough who people will be voting for and no need to disagree on the issues. (as obviously you will never agree)
I think any new president rather than the one you have will restore faith back in America in the eyes of most average countries around the world.
Any change is good change in this case.

Hillary may be the Vice President if she loses the democratic election. Furthermore, Obama may take the position of Vice President if Hillary wins.
Either way, they both win.
Now if the Democratic party can't decide on one or the other, then that means that both of them could run for President. If both of them run, then the votes will be split and more than likely, the Republican candidate will win, leaving both Hillary and Obama fighting amongst themselves.

Obama...Clinton...and McCain will only offer more of the same. The only "change" you will see is the face. Real change will not come from an election. There are far too many powerful forces at work behind the scenes to allow any real change to occur. Look how heavily we are focused on ONE person running for ONE office that matters very little. You cannot win at a game when the game is rigged.

Ted Kennedy: "Well, the first is always a demand that you're going to have someone that's going to be able to assume the responsibility. I would hope that he would also give consideration to somebody that has –- is in tune with his appeal for the nobler aspirations of the American people. And I think if we had real leadership –- as we do with Barack Obama –- in the number-two spot as well, it'd be enormously helpful."
It sounds like Ted Kennedy doesn't think much of Hillary.Muscle Asylum Project Athlete

Where’s it say that police, fire, emergency services, schools & education, roads & highways, the u.s. military, postal services, NASA, DMV and the list goes on… is a right ? Maybe you could explain it in your infinite wisdom why these public agencies & services exist since you studied the Bill of Rights so carefully and got smiley faces on all your school papers…
Thanks

It doesn't say those things because they are not rights and not SUPPOSED to be mandated by the Federal government.
Police,Fire,&Emergency are the responsibility of local governments (state, county, city/town). Those things are funded by local tax's and not the responsibility of the Federal government, and therefore no provision was made for it in the Constitution.
The US Military...There was no provision for a standing military at the time, except in times of war. However, it does say "a well regulated militia being necessary."
Schools&Education. This was also NEVER intended to be covered by the Federal government. This agency exists because of government largesse and there was never any authority to create a department of education. In fact, since the federal government got involved with education the quality of our education has gone DOWN significantly. If there is no better example of why national healthcare will ruin this country, it is the DOE.
Lastly, those weren't smiley faces on my papers, they were A's, and because of those I'm going to be making 6 figures and I'll have no need to be in a union, leaching off of the system and being an alcoholic.

Godfather you’re alright… The first part of your answer is just pablum but I did like the last statement with your generalization of all union members being drunken leaches… that was genuinely funny. I hope you do make 6 figures I think you deserve it. Keep up the good fight and remember…
