Very Interesting Technology
www.befreetech.com
Just wanted to shed light on some earth friendly and money saving technology out there. I haven't tried any of these things yet but if they really work i'm sold, specifically the gas and electricity stuff.
I'd like to know if anyone has tried the things shown or have a better understanding as they all look promising.

Can you explains why its BS?
The videos here about the alternate energy is something:

What's a "Pre-ignition catalytic converter? And how can it reasonably be expected to give "up to 100 mpg?"
Gas mileage extenders have been around for years. Saw one on local UHF TV a few weeks ago, all it was was a couple of magnets you bolted on a fuel line, and according to the TV commercial, the magnetism alligned the molecules in such a way that the fuel burned more efficiently, and gave 22% more mpg. Rubbish!
Another guy was selling pills you put in your gas tank, and they were supposed to increase your mpg. The state atty general got on him -- was part of a big multilevel marketing scam, called "Fuel Freedom International."

Ah, these scams and rip-offs have been around for years. Truth is, gasoline engines operate at about 35% efficiency (you put X amount of heat energy in them via burning gasoline, and you get 35% motion energy and the 65% energy in the form of heat). The only way to get better mpg out of a gasoline car is to reduce its weight and to improve the engine's efficiency (through more complete combustion, reduced internal friction, etc). GM, Toyota, Chrysler, etc have been working on this for years, and what they have is pretty much the best that's available . . .
The detergent thing, well, I saw that debunked on a morning TV news show. Check out this website:
http://www.stretcher.com/stories/971106a.cfm
A couple years ago I was at a home & garden show, and some lady was pushing a gizmo you hooked up to your washing machine, and it supposedly replaced detergent. It cycled water through an ultraviolet light, which supposedly sterilized the water, and added a bit of silver ions. I checked out the silver ion bit, and yes, they do work as advertised (long story, technical explanation). However, it pollutes something awful, and several Asian countries have banned the things.
Anyway, lots of people are out there wanting to sell you BS garbage. Before you buy what they offer, look for verification of their claims from an independant source, and that source needs to be someone who doesn't stand to profit from that business.
It helps if you have a good basic knowledge of physics, too.

Possibly true, but if your car fails to pass a state inspection because of it, you get to pay to have it replaced.
"A catalytic converter is a device that cracks the gas, breaking the larger particles into smaller ones so they can be burned before they hit the environment."
A painfully incorrect definiton. Here, look at this site for a better definiton:

All they have is a slick video filled with half-truths and BS. But by all means, go ahead and try their gizmo. Let us know how it works for ya . . .
