could you kill

We all say i would kill a person if they did something horrible to a family mememer of yours. But do you think you would or could. Do you think you could follow them home or kick in their door and do it? Shoot them or beat them to death? I know some people have moral issues that wouldnt allow them.

Some reason i was thinking about this and figured it would make a good discusion.

It would likely have to be something very very horrible that they did. Most the time people are going to say yes they could but in reality I think most would come to their senses and not want to ruin their life by committing a crime that would put them away.

if it was a 'scary movie' type of thing, where they were comin to kill me, then i think i could, but other than that... it would be more a total beat down as much as i could.... i dunno if i could kill someone, like plan it out and everything, but in self defense where they were gonna kill me... yeah i could

No question in my mind, yes, I would have no problem killing someone if I made up my mind to do it. I will most likely go my whole life without killing someone though, I'm a very relaxed, non angry person. I've rarely gotten in fights in my life, only when forced, I'm super forgiving and unlikely to be ruled by rage.

The law scares me more than doing the crime. I don't think I could live a life in prision. I would make a good criminal and most likely not get caught, I would think it through and not leave evidence, bodies and murder weapons around. But, if they do catch you, uhhh, that would suck.

in the moment self defence i wouldn even have to think about it.

If someone hurt a loved one. It would have to be something serious but yes i could hunt them down and kill.

Well never thought I could until I went into the military, but I derived no pleasure or pain from it. Now it would have to be some extreme situation, like some dude hurting my baby. Then i would make him dig his own grave before I put him in it...

If someone were to mess with my daughter I would maim and murder without a second thought. I'm talking some sicko rapist or pedophile. The law does not take care of these people appropriately in my opinion.

One reason I work out...I take pleasure in knowing Tommy Tough Titties fears me and thinks twice about popping off.

In fact since she was born old Dad is working on his concealed carry permit.

Like you said, if someone did something to someone in my family, like hurt or worse to one of my kids or my wife etc. oh, I wouldn't hesitate a second.... now on the same token, I have told my wife numerous times, if I catch her cheating on me, I am shooting out both of her kneecaps and I would take the guy, and strap jumper cables to his nuts and "jump em'...... I think she understands...

Smart! Its not attempted murder if you shoot her below the waist. Yah same with me if someone does something really bad to my family. Like depending on the severity they would either get a beating, window smashed car, blown up car, or killed.

I could kill, but, again, it would have to be a real good reason that i could justify risking life imprisonment.

If someone pulled a gun on me, and i knew it was loaded, if i was lucky enough to get the upper hand, i would not hesitate to stamp on their head until they breathed their last breath. I likely wouldnt shoot them if i didnt have to though.

This might sound disturbing but i really think i could. I am good at being able to detach feelings given certain situations.

Of course there would have to be a really good reason for me doing something this horrible = hurting a family member, best friend, or getting dirt on my newly wash car.

If I walked in on someone raping or killing my wife or daughter I would kill them in the heat of the moment. I only think that I could kill in the heat of the moment though. I could not spend more than a couple seconds thinking about it or else I would start to come to more rational thinking. My wifes (now ex wife) ex husband was sentanced to 5 years in Jail for drugs and child abuse. He told his mom he was going to kill both of us when he got out. My dad gave me a hand gun and told me that if he ever forces his way into our house let him come in than put his f*cking brains against the wall. So I guess I had put before hand thought into that.

I had a job where I used to put dogs and cats "to sleep." It was awful (I'll spare y'all the details about having to kill a cardboard box of six 2-week old puppies). But I discovered that I could do it, and I've been through all the rationalization process where you convince yourself that what you're doing is a good thing.

So, yes, given sufficient motivation, tools, and opportunity, I could kill someone. I'd probably think about it from time to time, but I wouldn't lose any sleep over it . . .

Well, if you're talking about mercy killing or euthanasia than my answer may be different, but I wouldn't know unless I was confronted with the issue.

You see that i could not do. I would rather see 100 people die rather then one dog. I would not have lasted 2min at that job.

yes i could and would without hesitation.. I was trained (brainwashed) at an early age of 18 when i went into the USAF..

It's about thinking of a situation, visualizing it, deciding on a course of action long before you ever get into that type of situation.. thus, it becomes 2nd nature.. we use to train at the thought process, it's 2nd nature now, probably always will be..

Example.. I asked my wife.. if we were walking through a parking lot.. lets say in downtown at about 6:30 in the evening, and a man approached and produced a gun and demanded that we both get in the trunk of the car..

what would she do?? before she answered, i told her i would work on getting close to the man, and i would make a play for the gun (remember, i've been trained) She said she would scream and run for help.. I told her no, as i was wrestling with the guy, she was to jump on his back, choking him if possible wrapping her legs around him as we all 3 crash to the ground..I may or may not be able to overpower him, or take the gun away, but with her added weight, the noise we would be making and hopefully the gun would go off , causing all the noise we would need to get help to us fast..

If i were to get the gun away from him.. would i shot him??

depends on his actions, does he jump up from the ground and come at me?? no?? he turns and runs?? i'd let him go..

if he were to attempt a grab at me or the wife?? i'd empty the gun on him..

easy as that..
