    Oatmeal trick/ I'm freakin lazy

Recently I started using an extra coffee maker to make my oats for the morning. I know it only takes an extra minute or two to make them but I like to do everything as fast and efficient as possible so before bed I put the oats in the pot, water up top and turn on the timer to start the same time as my coffee timer. When I wake up my oats and coffee are ready.

I don't actually put coffee in the top, just water and no filter. I'll have to test the coffee flavored oats sometime.

My brother was really efficient as a kid. In am attempt to get dinner down and get back outside to play, if he had to go to the bathroom he would drop a duce and eat at the same time !

our tap water is pretty hot, so i just run some water in my oats and let them sit while i eat whatever meat i'm having... generally tuna or chicken..... or eggs. By the time i'm finished they're soft enough to eat. Unless you have to have your oats steaming hot, give it a try.

Yeah but that's not as creative! In college I would use the coffee maker to have my ramen noodles automatically start cooking by the time I got home from my morning classes.

Coffee makers with timers have endless possibilities!

Hmm...do dehydrated vegetables still keep their nutritional values? If done correctly I bet I could have a pot of vegetable soup ready for me when I get home from time to time.

I grind the oats in a coffee grinder and mix them in the shake they are basically powder when ground so no lumps at all
