Being huge comes at a price
Bodybuilding is so expensive.
Food, supplements, gym membership, food, food, and more food.
How much of your (I won't say disposable, because I know you guys consider supplements and gear just as important as paying off a mortgage) income do you spend on bodybuilding?

I spend $26 every couple weeks for my Whey Protein. And god knows how much on food. I have really become a bargin shopper..lol.. I hit costco up quite a bit for things like fruit and veggies, oats, ect, ect. Sometimes I buy the boneless chicken breast bags from them, but I have a great little mom and pop grocery store in my town and I can get 3 pounds of chicken for $10. Us bodybuilder/juiceheads have to be frugal!!!

I feel you Blade... I don't look at it like pissing money away you know. My ex and I used to drop the same amount on food when we lived together and it was crap food. Now my fridge is stocked with Chicken, beef, yogurt and eggs. Gonna take SoulStealers advice and try and find a meat distributor. $75 bucks for 40lbs of chicken rules

all i can say
most of my money goes to rent, car insurance, food.
esp food since i started my progress.
not including proteins and vitamins, etc. probally 150ish on food a week for just myself.
-

roughly £50-60 each week on food.
£35 a month gym membership
£30 a month on protein powder
Averaging £290 a month on the bare minimum of what i need, not including AAS, peptides, anti-e's etc.
So, $580 a month roughly, minimum

Not to be rude but thats cause som epeople dont use their fvckin heads.
People say a cycle is expensive, some people waste 5 $ a day on star bucks coffee.
Thats 35 $ a week now tell me you cant cycle off that please.
Secondly people eat out and by food from fancy grocery stores.
Who the hell is going to pay 16 $ a kilogram for chicken.
You go to meat distributors and buy in bulk. For supplements BCAA's and by a huge thing of horse nutrition that has all your vitamins, nutrients, and amino acids for about 30 $ for 5 pounds worth.
Gym 30-60 $ a month.
Sure some people waste that much on rental dvd's a month.
Sure anything costs money but some people really over pay.
For tuna, oats, bread, meat you buy in bulk on sales or from distributors these foods dont go bad quick.
ROFL unlike american currency some things dont lose their value over time :P this is what you buy in bulk. (meat, supplements, gear, breads, oats, grains)
Just freeze the bread and meat. You can also pre cook which saves on energy costs and weigh your food out so you get the exact amount of calories you need. Instead of wasting money on GNC supplements to lose weight 85 % of people could do better by dieting right.
The only thing you gotta buy alot is veggies and fruit. For drinks i only drink water i dont know about others.
So yes you can say it is expensive, and everything costs money but alot of people can do things much much more efficiently.

Well price discussion isnt allowed here so ill phrase this in different ways.
IF at work you go get fast food for lunch and go get a starbucks coffe in the morning.
Thats 10 $ for 5 day work week. 50 $.
I dont know about you guys but i assume most of you guys would pay about 5-15 $ for a CC (1ml of test enthate for example) Lets say 500 mg a week is gonna cost you 5-15 $. You spent that in 2-3 days on coffees or eating out.

It is expensive for sure.
The question really becomes....how big can you afford to be?

But the results are priceless....
Also, try switching to Geico

I think I'm pretty good at keeping the costs to a minimum.
I pay only $24 per year for my gym membership. I got in on a deal such that I prepaid for 3 years, and got $24 per year after that.
I buy unflavored whey isolate in bulk on the internet, 25 lbs at a time. Much cheaper that way.
Chicken breasts are occasionally on sale at the grocery store for $1.99 / lb. I try to only buy at that time and fill up the freezer.

i could save some good money by shopping at cheaper stores for my food, something i have looked into, but right now with my schedule it works out better where i shop now, although all it would take is afew adjustments

i cut all the corners i could without sacrificing anything necessary and i spent 150 for food (bought everything at a whole seller), 120 for supplements (protein, waxy maize and creatine), and 150 could be allocated to this months sauce usage.
so... i got off kinda easy at 420

Ya thats nuts 65 + a month...... sounds more like a country club gym.
most gym "gyms" are not that much and i mean nice ones like Golds or World's etc.
You can save a ton of money by purchasing your food in bulk. I am looking into this horse supplements to.

where do you buy food. alot of guys spend to much money on food IMO.
you can find much better deals on stuff. then going to the average chain grocery.
if they got a sale stock up.
Go to the horse store and buy Steel cut oats and your vitamins there!!!
Actually all my meat i go to farms or "special places" and freeze it.
For grains we have a bulk store i can buy all kinds of oats and rice grains, seeds, etc for crazy cheap prices.
For veggies i just buy them or in the summer go to the farmers market and see what they got.
If i notice anything on sale i will buy alot such as bread and freeze it.
You can cut HUGE costs. example dont eat out theres a ton of money saved no fast food, etc.
