Data Transfer

Hi there. Please advice. Copied all my data onto disks prior to formatting my Laptop. Had Vista on it. Replaced by XP. Now, data does'nt show. CD doesn't open at all! Any other PC with Vista OS does open it. How will manage to open it with XP?

the data is there click on the my computer icon and look at whatever letter your cd rom is usually D or E. Right click it and hit explorer.

copy what you need and paste it onto your harddrive "C".

The Pc doesn't see the CD in the drive. It is photos and data files. It only opens on a XP system, not on a Vista system.

try this..

Close Autoplay,
Right click on "computer"
Right click the cd/dvd
Select Open...

What software have you used to burn the data, and is it only that CD it doesnt see ?
