we've always had a wicked work place in that, we can joke around and say ANYTHING, and it was always cool.
gay jokes, sexist jokes (even from my female boss). no limits - but we all agreed, it would never be an attack. even if a joke was AT someone, it would never be an attack.
well
my co worker was in a bad mood, and being an asshole.
he was looking at some chick online, who was hot. but needed a bigger ass.
i said "man, she needs a bigger ass. she needs to do more squats"
he then said "what the **** do you know? shut the **** up faggot. what do you know about good looking people? i've seen pictures of carl, and he's the ugliest person i've ever seen"
so i looked at him and said "i dare you to say it again. i ****ing dare you".
so, he got all pissy and he left mid shift.
my boss walked up to me today and said "im writing you both up"
so i said to him "so, i was being discriminated and ATTACKED based on my sexual orientation, i defend myself - and im getting a write up?"
he didnt quite respond to that, so i then followed up with "im sure the human rights commission and the labour board would love to know why i was written up"
he tore up the write up....
