bought PC Proecessor on ebay but its missing!

I bought a new computer processor on ebay on of these intel extreme series ones that run me about $900, i got the package today through the postal service usps and opened it up and the first thing that i noticed is that the factory seals where broke and not sealed like stated in the ebay page the seller said! so i went about opening the box and there was no processor inside just the processors box with the plastic shell packaging, the papers and heatsink/fan! NO PROCESSOR!!! I bought form a seller that had tons of feedback and that $2000 buyer protection so it was not some 2 feedback seller or anything.
what do i do here? i dont know if this seller had this in mind or if somehow he did send me a empty box or somehwere along the line it was opened by someone and snathed the processor out of the box? i dont know?

just contact the seller; if he's a high-volume seller with good feedback he'll likely apologize and send you what you asked for. always attempt to resolve by contacting the seller ASAP--don't wait.

then, if seller is unwilling to deal fairly, go through ebay for a resolution.

well, whatever, what's bought is bought.

IMO you can't worry about what could've happened in shipping. Let the system run its course...if seller earnestly feels he did nothing wrong then ebay or paypal will fix it, end of story.

Reminds me of that guy who was selling Xbox 360's on ebay when they first came out.

He'd take a picture of the boxes and put them in the auction. Further down in the description he's put it was the "box only".

People paid $300 for those boxes.

i say contact the seller first...and if it doesn't get resolved through the seller then contact paypal...the thing that sucks about paypal is sometimes they will be dicks and say well you received something right...and then side with the seller...but i don't think it happens that often

I've got a Pentium D (dual) for music processing in my desktop. Got it from NewEgg. Also got my latop there, wouldn't go anywhere else.

As far as the issue on hand, contact the seller & see how he responds first. Don't just go raising hell untill you've contacted him.
Even with how safe paypal makes you feel I've had issues before and all they did was terminate the other persons account. Because there was no money in it I never got it, even now 4 years later.

Thats buyer issues though. Its a lot easier to avoid problems with sellers if you know how ebay works.
