Do you hate Long Island (NY) culture?
People tend to gravitate to places that best reflect their values. Hence, Red versus blue states. Long Island it primarily Republican (I'm a democrate.) It seems like a really shallow culture here - full of whiggers and wanna-be ganstas or pompous consumers. Needless to say, I'm not going to stay here. I lived in upstate NY (New Paltz) and I love the vibe up there. People were cooler and the landscape kicked ass! Anyone else feel "out of their element" or have any distaste for Long Island materialism?

Are long island and staten island the same place or are they just similar people in both areas?
Where was that guy making fun of when he came out with the "my new haircut video"?
If that is the place you live in then I am sorry....but really I love people watching so I could stay occupied up there just hanging out at the local mall and watching all of the Douche Bags work their wizardry.
Seriously....the airport is the best place to people watch in case people are wondering.....also I am amazed by white people trying to act black(unless they are actually from the same neighborhoods and grew up with the culture that they are trying to respresent.) I just can't stand the ones that come from upper middle class and suddenly by a Tupac album and think they have anything in common with someone who has had to live in low income projects or government housing.
