    I believe in some two or three day cleanses as they've made me feel much more energetic and clean but I've never shat out a gall stone or at least I didn't collect anything to check!

    The Gall Bladder is the storage site of bile that is produced in the liver. Its contents are excreted (important term) into the lumen of the duodenum which is the part of the digestive tract were the stomach empties into. Gall Stones are caused primarily by excessive cholesterol in the bile, which causes the stones to be a green color. There are other types of gall stones as well that consist of other compounds.

    The digestive tract is considered continuous with the outside world. This means basically that anything in your digestive tract is not technically in your body. It is merely touching an external surface of your body and its holding onto contents the same way your hand would hold onto something.

    This is where the word excrete comes into play. The gall bladder and the liver for that matter are considered exocrine glands because they excrete hormones and chemicals to the outside of the body. When a gall stone happens to make it out of the pancreatic duct.

    The gallstone is then excreted out of the body, thus finally exiting out of the ass for DSM to so proudly post on the net.
