I am about 15 miles from Galveston bro so I feel your pain.......
Unfortunately No one really knows where it will make land fall so all of us in it's possible land fall areas will just have to wait and hope for the best.......
I have about 16 horse's, 8 dog's, a shit load of barn cat's and a plethora of other animals so regardless of what strength and where it lands I will be hear....
Thank God I have the means/money to evacuate My kid's wife and mother if need be....
To everybody that may lay in this beast's path I will say A prayer for ya'll over the next few day's......PLEASE take this storm seriously and protect your family and you self's!!!!
God bless and best wishes my friends and please if you have a family don't try to be heroes and underestimate this storm....Keep your family and your self safe bro's....
God bless and good night my friends, Please air on the side of caution when it come's to this storm.....

Shiet there is gonna be some great surf on West FL. yeyah!.. I'm expecting at least 6 feet, love it...

Be careful and get out for all you gulf coast guys, stay safe!!!!!!!
I bet you in the wake of the Hurricane the oil bastards are going to experiment with 5.00 dollar a gallon gas. The way they did with 3.30 a gallon after hurricane Katrina.
-
Yeah people.
If im not around in a few days.
Either:
A) Power went out
B) Im dead
C) All of the above
If they just cancel my classes, I will be happy
I think I'll be safe here though in H-Town. Depending on the course it runs.
But you peeps put in Louisiana better get the f out. Hopefully your already out, its suppose to hit Monday. My buddy left New Orleans.
Category 4, 150 mph winds. Or that was the update I got Saturday
Now, I saw it is a 3...with 120 mph windsLast edited by xlxBigSexyxlx; 08-31-2008 at 03:09 PM.

Dunno but I always hear of some idiot that does it and he/ his family never wake up. Seems like we get at least one story of it every time the power goes out, and there is just no excuse...nitro

Category 2 Gustav Slamming Louisiana
Tim Ballisty, Meteorologist, The Weather Channel
9:22 a.m. ET 9/1/2008
Hurricane Gustav is bearing down on the Louisiana coast. It has weakened to a Category 2 hurricane with winds of 110 mph but that doesn't change too much in terms of impacts affecting southern Louisiana.
As of 8 a.m. CDT, Gustav was centered about 80 miles south-southwest of New Orleans and about 130 miles southeast of Lafayette, Louisiana. It is moving to the northwest at 16 mph and it will continue in this direction all day today.
View the Gustav Tracker.
On its current speed and trajectory, Hurricane Gustav will make landfall on the southeastern coast of Louisiana during the next few hours near Atchafalaya Bay and Four League Bay south of the cities of Morgan City and Houma.

I pray that nobody is hurt & families stay together, but get ready for your gas prices to get jacked up again with some excuse due to the hurricane.

Actually Katrina was a cat 5 at one point in the Gulf, but it came ashore as a strong cat 3. There have only been a few hurricanes on record that came ashore as a cat 5. Chamille is the first one that comes to mind...Nitro

LOL thats funny,,, they've come to my part of town too. Its ironic that everyone fleeing from the storm thats being interviewed on the news looks, dresses and talks the same, u practically need a translator... Its like how many storms have to come and destroy your town before you get the idea to leave for good.

we got the west side of the eye wall, alot of heavy wind and rain. just got power and water going today. no major problems for my house other then, i now need another roof. my family and friends are all ok, so we dodged another one. i ran a generator the whole time power was out, so life wasn't that hard. lol
i was just thinking, this was the first hurricane or flood i was home to protect my own goods since 1974. i was either deployed, activated or placed on mandatory over time at work.Last edited by wascaptain5214; 09-04-2008 at 02:30 AM.
