well if your Maori just put it in a fry pan, little butter and onions.
Or if you consider yourself as a bit of a Jamie oliver try these...

1 clove garlic (roasted and minced)
Method
(Preheat oven to 350 degrees)

2. Combine the placenta, onion, pepper, saltines, bay leaves, white and black pepper, garlic and tomato sauce.
3. Place in a loaf pan, cover then bake for one and a half hours, occasionally pouring off excess liquid.

I thought this thread was a joke too.
I mean wouldn't that technically be cannibalism?
Why would anybody do that?
do any of you just eat it raw?
i'd try it

what kind of placenta do people actually eat? like what species of animal? thats ****in outrageous.
i usually only eat human placenta.
Tribes have access to the internet?
So many online recipes for it. I wonder how many everyday people do this.. I bet this is something svt is into.
i saw a documentary about a country in europe that they practice this. forget which country.
i'd say its cannibalism.
Thought this was a joke..... Wouldn't eating placenta be eating human flesh????? How the hell do they harvest it anyway?
Do they ask for donated placenta's or they just jack it from hospital trash.......
i thought it was kinda an honoring thing.....but then again my parents didn't eat ours....they buried them under the rose bushes
This is the most disgusting thing I've heard of in my life. The thought of it makes me gag literally. I saw an HBO special where a bunch of wierdos came over to this ladies house to cook her placenta from a recent birth. I think its disgusting, and wierd, but I guess whatever gets your rocks off...
