Can I bring gear into the uk from turkey ?

Hi Guy's. A friend of mine said that he has been to turkey a few times and brought back some gear with him into the uk. He said that HM customs will allow as long as it is for personal use.Is there any truth in this ?

I have searched the thread's but none give me the answer I am looking for. If I do decide to bring back steroids from holiday,how do I go about it ? I take it I would just pack it normally in my suitcase and not try to hide it. Do I need to inform anyone that I am bringing it back ?

I am going on a carabean criuse in January. I fly to barbados to get the ship. I was just wondring what sort of steroids are available there and if it would be safe to bring them back with their laws ? Are they legal in barbados ?
