Absinthe, anyone ever try it?

I just ordered a couple bottles with a very high content of Thujone and also a variety pack. I've never tried it before. Hoping it gets here before a small annual work gathering next month.

I tried it about 4 years ago when they finaly allowed bottle shops and what not to bring it into the country again, it was banned from being imported into australia for god knows how long......
Anyway it got me pretty ****ed up cant remember much. I dont really drink anymore so not interested in trying it again

I'm with I_Want_Abs, the stuff is lethal (very strong) and it tastes like absolute crap, so if you're planning on have some, MIX IT with a fruit juice/anything that tastes good.

But yeah, I stopped drinking a year ago

Yes i've tried. Now there are a lot of veriaties with different flavors. I haven't drink a drop of alcohol since i was 16 though.
Abssinthe is a no no if you're not used to hardcore alchols, like those italian and greek liquors, orujos etc etc. Make sure you eat like never before before drinking that, if you don't do so that's a knockout drink.

I brought a bottle back from france when I was in europe last year. That stuff did make me halucinate but only mildly. Definitely and experience but i would think it is especially hard on the liver with the high alcohol concentration.

I had some back in high school. Best way we found was a 1:1:4 ratio. 1oz absinthe 1 melted sugar cube(just hold it in a tblspn over a torch lighter) and 4 oz's of pure ice cold water. Turns it into a kinda foggy white color. It's called the louche effect or something. It floored my a$$ and gave me some pretty wicked dreams. Just be careful with that stuff bro. Saw it mess up a friend of mine pretty good.
