rigged cable or satellite boxes

ive been hearing about these cable or satellite boxes where u get all the ppv's and movie channels for free. similar to the old cable boxes and the satellite cards. does anyone know if there is any truth to this and if so where can you get them. ive heard you can get them for $300 but i want to know is this fact or fiction? anyone?

I hear you can get 1000's of channels via satellite but the program info. doesn't display

I've looked at the "coolsat" systems but I don't know how many channels you actually get.

1 time fee for cable sounds better than 80 bucks a month for the rest of your life though.
