anyone here ever been to a david barton gym? i think there's only a few gyms. i found the gym on the net and its a sick lookin gym. more of a upscale place. dont get me wrong, you cant beat the old school hardcore gyms, but i like the upscale one's as well. **** the people that tell you to be quiet, who cares. just wanted to see if anyone here has ever been to one and how they liked it.

Yeah I'm going with Ruhl on this one. A little too metrosexual for my taste. Looks like a fashion studio.

i dont get why some people are so against nice gyms. hell, i dont want to work out in a dump, and i really dont give a shit if ronnie or some other pro works out in a 'hardcore' gym. it all comes down to whether or not the gym you're at has the equipment you need.

if a gym is ultra classy and still has all the stuff i want to use for a hardcore workout, the gym isnt 'metrosexual'

id rather work out in a nice place than a dump that a pro used 20 years ago.

ur scaring me amorphic..........you can't workout in a gym like that to the best of your potential....the atmosphere simply isnt there to totally destroy the muscle......you can complain about metroflex being a dump all you want but it is the single best place to build muscle on the face of the planet and there is no second to a workout you get while you're there, regardless of ronnie and branch training there

In NYC it's a gay gym. The place is set up and has lighting like a night club and has a live DJ spinning. I went there once. IT WAS FUCKIN' AWFUL!

I've trained at health clubs that play classical music in the locker room and the locker room attendant hands you candies and a towel after you wash your hands. I don't care where I train, I'm getting a good heavy workout. I wear my iPod ignore everyone and lift heavy. Fuck everyone else there.

i have to say i agree with carlos e. regardless of the gym, once the headphones get turned on, its another world. as long as the gym had dumbbells and a few machines, its on

Have to admit i'm more old school, i like a hardcore gym, with the smell of hard work.
Just makes me feel more real i guess (i know all in the mind) and i always work out better in that kind of gym.

    IMHO

Yeh idk know whats up with all the other artsy shit going on there probably means you can workout naked?, but I'd use their equipment if they got what I need, then lay my sweaty ass on them $1,000 pillows, bet the ladies there are like supermodels too.

A gym is just a place to lift. Some are better. Some are worse. Some are more expensive. Some are cheaper. As long as you're enjoying yourself and feel you're getting a good workout, then that's all that matters.

It also looks like your membership would cost some serious coin...
