What pisses me off at the movies..

I went to the movies the other night and sat in an aisle seat, as I usually do, because it feels a little roomier. Just as the feature was about to start, a blonde from the center of the row got up and started working her way out.
"Excuse me. Sorry! Oops. Excuse me, pardon me, gotta hurry. Oops! Excuse me."
By the time she got to me, I was trying to look around her and I was a little impatient, so I said, "Couldn't you have done this a little earlier?"
"No!" she said in a loud whisper. "The 'Turn Off Your Cell Phone, Please' message just flashed up on the screen and mine is out in the car."

LMAO! You have got to be kidding...The good thing about blonde jokes (I know this wasn't a joke, which makes it all the more hilarious) is that they are all true.

What pisses me off is when my GF tried to blow me during a particularly moving scene in "Mumma Mia". Bitch has got no respect !!!!

    Pretty good one!

But for the real topic, I hate that theaters in the US don't serve beer. I really enjoy drinking a pint during a movie in Japan, but the $18 ticket price pisses me off.

Actually, there are plenty of theatres that serve beer and have leather seating. My ex took me a couple of years ago, and that was the first time that i was exposed to beer/wine in a movie theatre. It was cool, instead of her sitting next me, i had food and drink. haha

That would not be the common public commercial movie theater typically found near suburban shopping malls in the US. That's a boutique or dinner movie theater.

The movie theaters I'm talking about are the usual ones. I took my kids to watch Kung Fu Panda and enjoyed a few beers. It was even 10 AM. Try that in your average US matinee full of kids in the AM.

^^^ They serve beer at the movies in Japan?

    Two questions...

    1) Are the movies in Japanese?

    2) What to they call a 1/4 pounder at McDonalds?

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! That why I dig you war...we think alike. Pulp Fiction.

Yes, they do serve beer at $8 a glass and the tickets cost $18. There are no matinee prices or dollar theaters. Some theaters have premium seating, where you get exclusive access to a VIP lounge (complimentary Dom Perignon champagne) and get to sit on a leather sofa in the middle of the theater, but that costs about $60 per person. I took my wife to see The Dark Knight for our anniversary and had to reserve those premium seats. It WASN'T worth it! The movie was great, but the leather sofa and champagne weren't justified. Maybe if it was Krystal... But yeah, I could drink pints of Guiness (or Kirin lager) while watching the movie.

And they don't have quarter pounders in Japan. Never had, never will. And a Big Mac comes out as "Beegu Makku". McDonald's in Japan comes out as "Makkudonarudo", "Makku", or "Makku-chan". Oh and if the movies aren't in Japanese, they have subtitles. Gotta pay attention to the listings, otherwise you'll end up watching some crappy Japanese voice actors butcher the originals.

The thing I hate at a action movie is I have to piss when ever the best scenes are about to start. For example in the movie Dark Knight, I had to piss every time just before batman and the joker were about to fight.....

60 dollars for a VIP seat?
There's a theater here called the Moolah that's got a HUUUUGE screen, a bunch of leather sofas, and tickets are all 6 bucks.
    And they have cheap beer.
And they have midnight screenings of movies like ROBOCOP and FRIDAY THE 13TH 4.
    **** yeah.

Haha, I don't go to the movies anymore,
last time I went was with my ex and she would complain about everything if someone sat next to her she would get all upset, one night we went to go see a movie, but before we went into the theater I told her not to get all pissy and upset if people talk or what not, because its pointless. So we get in there and people are talking and she starts saying omg these people are getting on my nervs...so I tried not to pay attention to her lol, THEN a guy sets down on the seat infront of her and he leans back to were the back of his seat is almost touching her knees, and she starts to complaine to me, I Snap and I say "TAKE MY ****IN SEAT AND STOP COMPLAINING'' and stood up but when I stood up the bag of popcorn I was eating flew out of my hands and went all over the guy infront of her....
