i know that im not the only one who has struggled to put down a cup of oats in the morning. well thanks to this way of cooking added with a little bang you will be looking forward to your oats everyday.
I use Quaker Oats: Ready in 5 minutes.
Need: Equal amount of Oats and Water (IE 1 Cup Oats, 1 Cup Water)
Bring 1 Cup water to a boil (dash of salt).
Turn off water and stir in 1 cup oats.
Let sit for 3-5 minutes.
Oats will have soaked up all the water and look dry. Add a splash of skim milk and warm oats on Low if necessary.
Add a small spoonfull of jam. (I use homemade blueberry)
Add a dash of cinamon.
Stir it all up and you have yourself a gourmet bowl of oats!
The flavour from the jam and cinamon makes the oats taste amazing with just barely a few extra calories.![]()
