    envelope icon?

    could somebody tell me what those little envelope icons mean to the left of the titles of each thread.
    Like what's the difference between an open/closed envelope, or a red envelope. And what's that little black dot mean...does that mean that it is closed? How does it get closed.
    I'm confused!

    okay, perfect example....there is an evelope with a black dot on it next to this thread. Could somebody please clue me in here!!!

    The black dot means you have posted on that thread and red means itīs hot.
