Not to take away from this guy's efforts or piss on the parade but he did get gastic bypass. He wasn't able to eat more than a few servings of food a day. Anybody can lose weight that way. Hopefully he'll get ripped with the help of that trainer.

I wonder if they can undo the gastic bypass now that he needs to eat properly to build lean muscle mass. Im thinking that would really screw things up for body building?

not really. i know some ppl who are into bodybuilding and have had gastric bypass. a few members on this board actually. that are big and ripped. you can still get your stomach to stretch out again. i mean you shrink your stomach with the surgery, but not your hunger. so if you keep eating like a body builder does... you will stretch the stomach out and be able to eat plenty. if asked myself if you can get the surgery undone... havent found an answer yet. but i do know you can still get plenty of lean mass with the surgery done

thats not true also.... a few girls ive met have had it. and if they dont watch their diet (eat healthy, low calories, good macros) they will gain weight still.

and they dont just drop pounds like its no tomorrow. its not a miracle worker... it helps... just like steroids do. but also like steroids, you need to have everything else up to par in order to make the most of it. i.e. exercise and diet.

The newest innovatio in this is the laproscopic band. It involves laproscopic surgery which places a band around the stomach, limiting the amount of food that can be consumed. Once the person has lost the necessary weight, they can go in using a laproscope to remove the band. You hope at that point, the person has become motivated enough to change their eating and lifestyle habits.

Usually where most diets fail is in the motivation. People do not see results quick enough and then become depressed, causing them to lose motivation. The lap band allows them to start shredding weight much quicker, seeing results, and becoming motivated. Its analgous to "getting the ball rolling....
