Doesn't look bad at all. I hope it's good because he is/was always my favorite action hero. Anyone remember his kick ass older flicks....Bloodsport, Hard Target, Universal Soldier, Kickboxer, Double Impact?

I met Van Damme in Singapore at Planet Hollywood. The dude was so short, I thought he was a middle school student. Seriously, he's like 5'5" on a good day. I think I crap bigger than him.

man jean claude van damme was seriously my child hood idol. it was like my dream as a child to do the splits between 2 chairs. hah. blood sport and kick boxer were my favourites me and my bro watched those seriously at least 2-3 times a week.
i remember one of his first movies, he was actually the bad guy. lol..no retreat, no surrender i think? goddamn was it cheap. lol. lion heart was good too. i remember death warrant, where he goes to prison. double impact was sick. sudden death. time cop. man he is the B movie king.

hah im not gonna dispute the cheese involved with alot the fight choreography in his movies..but he was actually like a champion fighter before he got into that shit. he seriously knocked people out left and right like most of his wins were first round.
im pretty sure he went like 20-1, or something like that.

There was a recent one that he was in that I watched the other month.... it wasn't too bad, he was in a russian prison or something like that and he starts fighting a little... it was a decent b movie.... one of those ones for a lazy day with nothing better to do...IDK the name of it..

his best one ever was blood sport though...

^^ Agreed that Bloodsport and also Kickboxer were his best....damnit but then I have to throw Lionheart in there. And just when I thought his career was over he went out and did TimeCop which was pretty damn cool.

Tried to convince my gf that there was a cool Van Damme movie coming out and right when I mentioned who was in the movie she suddenly lost all respect for me. I couldn't even get her to watch the damn trailer....lol

I would say that bloodsport and kickboxer were his best fighting sequence movies. However, for action and violence- Hard Target all day. That movie had crazy special effects and lots of gun fighting for it's time.

I was partial to "Universial Soldier" because of Dolph Lungren. He and Rutger Hauer are my favorite B movie actors.

According to some sources he was also a fighter. How reputable these sources are is another story. Wikipedia has the names and dates of each fight he fought. He didnt fight under his hollywood screen name though....LOL
